Relationships, Dating and Couples

our ability to form and sustain successful relationships in your personal and professional life is directly related to your overall happiness and well-being. It is the foundation of all human interaction. While you may try to go at life alone, you quickly realize that you can't get far in life (personally or professionally) without having to interact with others, create and sustain strong positive connections.
The fact is we are relational beings. We are hard-wired to Love and Belong. There is an innate need to Belong and be part of a community. A sense of Belongingness is not to be confused with fitting in, which is where you reject or modify aspects of yourself in order to be liked or approved. (Brown 2010). Alfred Adler also noted in his research that what often motivates human behavior is a sense of community and social connectedness; creating meaning in one's life. With the explosion of social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn, we can see the hunger to create some connection and universality, more even so with the younger generation.
Many social and interpersonal skills are not necessarily taught, but are learned through observations and modeling from our caregiver, parents and interactions with others. The relationship skills we learned this way aren't always the skills we need to form successful relationships. Part of our developmental process and socialization revolves around our ability to create and forge connections with others in order to realize your goals and desires in life.
As your coach, I’m here to provide objective, non-judgmental observations that enhance your self-awareness. I’m also a resource and sounding board to support shifts in thinking that reveal fresh perspectives. And lastly, I’m your cheerleader and will stand for your commitments. I support your choices and encourage you to stretch and grow in order to achieve your goals.
Our coaching sessions will focus on defining your essence and creating relationships that are aligned with your desires, values and beliefs. The initial consultation provides the space, time to talk about where you are in your relationship or marriage, how you became stuck, and where you need to go. If necessary (and applicable to your project) we talk about ways in which you can work on building the necessary interpersonal and communication skills that will create more meaningful interactions. This process will also help you uncover hidden patterns and beliefs that have been holding you back or getting in your way of having happy, healthy relationships.
